Hard Times

Hard Times

Why does everything got to be so hard
No matter what I do I’ve gotta pickup the shards
A balancing act
I’m unsure what to do
Why does everything got to be so hard

I would hide for a lifetime
To get away from the pain outside
There’s a man looking into my window
And he’s holding my head in hand

Those who have hurt me, and anyone else
Have only hurt themselves

Why does everything got to be so hard
No matter what I do I’ve gotta pickup the shards
A balancing act
I’m unsure what to do
Why does everything got to be so hard

Everyone’s got a tale to tell
And only some live in their own hell
To live and walk amongst these mindless fools
Would be the death of my soul

Only those who know my past
Would get how I’m broken

Why does everything got to be so hard
No matter what I do I’ve gotta pickup the shards
A balancing act
I’m unsure what to do
Why does everything got to be so hard

You think I’ve had it made
Every minute of every day
You think you know the torment of all the souls that are put to rest

The last thing I remember
As the shovel dug into the ground

Why does everything got to be so hard
No matter what I do I’ve gotta pickup the shards
A balancing act
I’m unsure what to do
Why does everything got to be so hard

I said, why does everything got to be so hard
No matter what I do I’ve gotta pickup the shards
A balancing act
I’m unsure what to do
Why does everything got to be so hard
Why does everything got to be so hard
Why does everything got to be so hard
