Tired of It

Tired of It

I’ve got a story to tell
about a girl that I knew well
it seems to me she had a lot to say
about the life I was living, in my own very way
she kissed like an angel but bit like the devil
and I’m tired of it

she wore a long black dress to work everyday
her boss was a jerk, he liked to put her on display
she was a secretary but he made her a bawd
somehow that was missed in one big facade
I won’t be, just a pawn in his game
and I’m tired of it

Our story ends but life keeps going
the sun gets brighter and the grass keeps growing
I guess I don’t have too much more to say
Now we can all go our separate ways
Don’t say goodbye, just leave
and I’m still tired of it
